We're looking for a bit of help at STQRY. We like to think we're doing our bit to make a dent in the culture and heritage and tourism space but there's so much more to be done.
We’re looking for someone with a bit of sales/account management experience or experience and contacts in the culture and heritage or tourism sectors. You will be one of a small global team of Territory Managers and will be responsible for our Australian, NZ and Asian customer base. You may have been in a sales job before or you may be coming from a cultural institution and have been involved in digital projects but you’re looking for a change.
Your day will normally start with catching up on any activity that happened overnight in the company. We are a distributed team so use tools like Slack, Google Apps, Zendesk Sell and Shortcut to manage our work. If you’re based in Australia it may require an early morning or two for calls.
After catching up on what is happening, it is time to jump into sales. There will be inbound leads assigned and expected outbound activity as well. You will contact leads via phone, email, LinkedIn and web chat. You will follow up on existing opportunities to move them through the sales process, taking notes using our CRM tool and set tasks to follow up in the future.
You will have to write short proposals, generate quotes, make cold calls and send information to potential clients. The sales process will cover setting meetings/demonstrations, presenting our platform to prospects and then signing that location up as a customer. Some account management might be required post sale.
While most of our work is done online, occasionally you will go out and visit existing and potential clients. You will also attend the occasional trade show, either as an exhibitor or just as an attendee. This will be less than 10% of your time.
Your Skills
You will have good written and verbal communications skills. You won’t mind picking up the phone and making calls, connecting with people on LinkedIn, sending concise, well written emails and doing web based presentations and demos. You will need to show persistence and determination to help move prospects forward.
You have good computer skills, you can drive a spreadsheet, write documents, and can enter data efficiently. Documentation and follow ups are very important with the basis in computer skills.
You will be able to listen to what your prospect needs and wants and translate this into a solution based on our technology. You will be able to follow this through to closing the sale. Communication with both prospects and internally is key to success with STQRY.
